Sitting in New York

Had a great couple of days wandering around New York with my wife. She had to attend some training sessions here for her new job and my freelance gig was at a good point for me to take a few days off so I did. 3 days in NYC is enough, I'm ready to get out of here. Unfortunately we have a looming snow storm that may complicate things. We'll see...

In the meantime I have a little time sitting here at the hotel and figured I would catch up on my sorely neglected blog.
One quick note: If you find yourself in New York City and you're looking for a good gaming shop, you have to find The Complete Strategist.

Great little store and a nice guy running it. I found a number of things that I wanted but only bought a few things cuz I have limited space for the return flight.

While wandering the streets I found a scale Limo and School Bus. I've been looking for a bus for a while now and haven't had much luck, they're usually a little small.

The other thing I found (and the reason I had limited space) was this Bus.

Now,... I've seen this online and wondered if the size was correct (or close enough) and always figured it was too pricey to find out it was scaled wrong. Well, after seeing it in person I can say (and the pictures will back me up) that this is pretty damn close and will look incredible once I get some city buildings finished to put it next to.

There are little dials next to the doors to open and close them and another dial turns the destination sign on the side of the bus. For some odd reason they only added one destination to the dial. Why would you make it turn if you're only going to add one location?

Really looking forward to some studio time now.
